Children of all ages are invited to come build an all-natural gingerbread house. We’ll provide a pre-fab ginger-home and all the necessary goodies to create a palace (no corn-syrup or artificially colored candy, only dried fruit and natural candy).

Pastured Poultry Week is a celebration of humane and sustainably produced pasture raised chicken.

We are participating along with 92 restaurants in Georgia. New York, and Charleston.

Pasture raised chickens can take up to twice as long to reach the same weight as a factory-farmed bird due mostly to the slow growing breed that is used. This slower growth is an important factor in healthy development and good welfare. Come taste the difference!

A little bit about Leda...

A lifelong forager (it's her great-grandmother's fault), Leda Meredith is the author of Northeast Foraging: 120 Wild and Flavorful Edibles from Beach Plums to Wineberries and other books including The Locavore’s Handbook: The Busy Person’s Guide to Eating Local on a Budget. She is an instructor at the New York Botanical Garden and at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden specializing in edible and medicinal plants. Leda is also the Food Preservation expert for About.com. You can follow Leda’s food adventures on her blog at www.ledameredith.com and her videos at www.youtube/ledameredith.


Raphael from Enlightenment Wines (Clintondale, NY) & Alex from Caledonia Spirits (Hardwick, Northeast Kingdom, VT) make products that are expressions of their connection to the land.
